Gena Schultheis, DDS
Dr. Gena Schultheis is a highly knowledgeable and experienced general, cosmetic and implant dentist. She uses a natural, holistic approach in all her treatments, including using non-toxic, biocompatible materials and natural remedies for effective natural healing and pain prevention. She stays up to date with the latest advances in dentistry so she can provide the most effective, minimally invasive care.
Dr. Schultheis is a member of several dental associations, including the American Dental Association® and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is a board member of the Holistic Dental Association and a member of the Eco Dentistry Association. She is also active in several other holistic dental associations.
Dr. Schultheis started her dental career in the United States Air Force, where she rose to the rank of captain and received the Air Force Commendation Medal for meritorious service.
In addition to her general dentist degree, Dr. Schultheis holds certificates in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontic treatment, CEREC one-visit dental restorations and laser dentistry for minimally invasive treatment. She is a certified provider for ClearCorrect teeth straightening using clear aligners, Six Month Smiles®, FASTBRACES®, Snap-On Smile® and Lumineers® ultra-thin porcelain veneers.
After completing her undergraduate studies at Syracuse University in 2000, Dr. Schultheis earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2005. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, a one-year dental residency program consisting of hands-on experience and additional postgraduate training in advanced dental care.
Dr. Schultheis blogs about holistic dentistry and writes articles for Your Health Magazine, a health publication distributed in Virginia and Maryland.
Community Service and Involvement
Dr. Schultheis volunteers her time at the local health department and through the Free Day of Dentistry program. She is active in environmental preservation events such as Earth Day, and she participates in activities with the Chesapeake Beach Oyster Cultivation Society.
In addition, she and her staff provide training to the medical community on the relationship between oral health and the health of the rest of the body.

Outside the Office
Dr. Schultheis enjoys yoga, hiking, running and being outdoors. She loves spending time with her husband and three children, especially going skiing with them. She also enjoys listening to music, dancing, reading and cooking.
Sadaf Nasir, DDS
Dr. Nasir earned her dental degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2012. As part of her studies, she did research in the field of oral surgery, and she has published research in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a good communicator and values building long-lasting relationships with her patients as they continue to come to the practice for dental maintenance care.
Nhu Thuy Luong, DDS
Dr. Nhu Thuy Luong competed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She continued to receive her master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Barry University and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Luong graduated with honors, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and is currently a member of the American Dental Association®. Committed to increasing her knowledge, Dr. Luong also completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry located at LECOM School of Dental Medicine.
Devoted to giving her patients better smiles and staying on the cutting edge, Dr Luong attends conferences and seminars in continuing education. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, trying new cuisines and is an avid traveler. Dr. Luong and her fiancé currently reside in D.C. and love the lifestyle the city has to offer.
Emily Halle, DMD
Dr. Emily Halle strives for excellence in all her dental care. She enjoys getting to know her patients, and she provides the quality of treatment that she would want in her own mouth.
Originally from western Pennsylvania, Dr. Halle attended Washington and Jefferson College before receiving her doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Halle then had the honor of serving veterans during a residency at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, where she furthered her education in all aspects of general dentistry.
As a lifelong learner, Dr. Halle places great value on continuing education and regularly attends new courses and seminars. She has completed extensive orthodontic training through Progressive Orthodontic Seminars and is a member of both the AGD (Academy of General Dentistry) and the IAO (International Association of Orthodontics).
Outside the office, she enjoys being mom to her three boys, hiking and salsa dancing with her husband, and finding new recipes to cook.
Maria Wood, DDS, MS
Dr. Wood believes in a comprehensive and individualized approach to treating her patients. As no two people are the same, she helps her patients meet their specific functional and cosmetic goals in a pain free and caring environment. She also helps to coach her patients on how to maintain a healthy and beautiful smile for life.
Dr. Wood treats patients with a variety of dental needs, from pediatrics to implants. She completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery program and Advanced General Dentistry residency at the University of Maryland Dental School. She then received her dental implantology certificate from New York University College of Dentistry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the George Washington University and a Master’s degree in Complementary and Alternative Medicine from Georgetown University. She attends continuing education courses through the Spear Institute and Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies regularly to stay up to date on the latest advancements in her field. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. She is also a contributing author on complementary and alternative medicine practices for the “ADA/PDR Guide to Dental Therapeutics.”
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Wood enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her husband and puppy. She speaks Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian.
Kelsea Flannery, DDS
Dr. Kelsea Flannery attended SUNY Geneseo for her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude. She attended dental school at the Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude with an aesthetics minor. She then completed her General Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital in Syracuse. Dr. Flannery is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association®, Academy of General Dentistry and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Outside the office, she loves traveling and horseback riding and has her own horse named Savion. She enjoys outdoor adventures, including hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, biking, running, snorkeling and yoga.
